Wave Goodbye to Embarrassing Lip Stains
Before you get too excited, this isn’t an introduction for those freaky products that never leave color stains on coffee mugs or cheeks. Besides, those lipsticks are for robots who never eat, drink, or give affection. The reason there’s no embarrassing lip stain with this gloss is because there’s nothing to ashamed of with color like this. L’oreal has come out with an 8 Hour Color and Shine Infallible Gloss called Pink Topaz, featured in the March issue of Marie Claire Magazine (page 167). Honestly, who even cares if this stuff gets on every class, napkin, or lips you happen to come in contact that day. This color is so vibrantly beautiful, you’ll be happy leaving your mark!
Remember not to abandon your other best feature, the eyes. I love matching bright lips with a lighter smokey eye using shades of browns and taupes. That’s why the best product is the Faces Beautiful Mineral Makeup Signature Shadow Quad in Nakeds http://www.facesbeautiful.com/product-p/851036001005.htm. This four-in-one combination of shades is complementary on any skin tone and eye color. Use the darkest shade on your lid and work your way up to your brow bone, fading out the color to the lightest shade. I prefer using eyeliner after I’ve applied my shadow and the Advanced Waterproof Mineral Eyeliner in Brown http://www.facesbeautiful.com/product-p/851036001251.htm flatters the look beautifully. Enjoy!

Exotic Eyes That Hypnotize
Let me preface this blog by stating that while I love all you cute, coy ladies out there that like to shy away from color and stay in your comfort zone, you’re adorable but with all due respect, you’re not ready for this. Now, calling all daring, fearless glamazons to center stage pronto to begin one of Spring’s most interesting and unique looks ever. The April 2012 issue of Harper’s Bazaar features the new Circa Jewels advertisement (page 62) and is sure to halt any reader in their tracks. What’s shocking is it’s not even the diamonds causing my hands to become immobile resulting in my failure to turn the page!
The first thought that entered my mind was slight concern for the amount of items I would have to buy to achieve this purple, blue, and snow color combination. However, Faces Beautiful thankfully has the amazing shades in a Mineral Makeup Signature Shadow Quad called Cougar http://www.facesbeautiful.com/product-p/851036001051.htm. I recommend this look for darker skinned women because of their ability to effortlessly carry such bright and stunning shades of color. Additionally, Faces Beautiful has just completed the shade of Brush-On Liquid Mineral Makeup for dark-skinned women entitled Sunglow. The product can also spread over the eyelid and multitasks as a eye shadow primer. Begin by working the brilliant shade of purple into the crease of your lid. Continue by dragging the pigment underneath the eye in a thin line stopping in the middle of your waterline. Next, fill in the section under the crease with the navy shade and continue to pull the color around the center corner of your eye and generously distributing it underneath. It should meet and blend with the purple pigment.
Finally, use the metallic shade of lavender as your highlighting shade. Make sure to blend this color with the purple shade used initially. Complete the look with your favorite mascara which, for me, is the Faces Beautiful SuperWear Mascara http://www.facesbeautiful.com/product-p/851036001012.htm. Keep the lips simple with a nude gloss like Vincent Longo’s Carina Perfect Shine V Gloss http://www.facesbeautiful.com/product-p/658106701538.htm and prepare yourself for a lot of glares from the girls and stares from the studs.

Entering the Scene With a Splash of Green
With bathing suit season right around the corner, a lot of ladies are running back and fourth to the gym on a daily basis. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for this but what’s a tight tush good for if your makeup isn’t on point? Don’t worry, this isn’t one of those blogs on the “No Makeup Look for the Gym” mostly because I’m already judging you if your putting on your face to go do cardio for an hour. Instead, this is to a how-to on how to bring the greens that blossom all around us this time of year, into your makeup routine. Featured in the April 2012 issue of Glamour Magazine (page 243) the look I’ve recreated using different products.
To begin with, when using brighter colors it’s important to prime your eyelids. Instead of purchasing another product, I use my Faces Beautiful Brush-On Liquid Mineral Makeup http://www.facesbeautiful.com/liquid-mineral-makeup-p/facesbeautiful-brush-on-lig.htm and sweep some over my eyelids. This works just as well as a primer and blends perfectly with the rest of my face. Next, I chose to use Vincent Longo’s Verite Eye Shadow http://www.facesbeautiful.com/product-p/658106525073.htm. I dampen my brush slightly with a drop or two of water and apply the pigment to the brush tapping out any fallout. I coat my lid with the green in an arch-like fashion reaching just under my brow bone. I then use my Faces Beautiful Smudge Brush http://www.facesbeautiful.com/product-p/smudge.htm and without wetting it, sweep the Verite Shadow over the bright color you have just applied for a lighter, less intense streak of pigment. Next use a highlighting shadow that reaches up to underneath your eyebrow. I love the snow-like color in the Faces Beautiful Mineral Makeup Signature Shadow Quad in Cougar http://www.facesbeautiful.com/product-p/851036001051.htm.
Finish the look with a pink lip like the Faces Beautiful Lipstick in Sunberry http://www.facesbeautiful.com/product-p/facesbeautiful-lipstick.htm?1=1&CartID=0.
These will leave any lips looking kissable and luscious. Enjoy the Spring look and the coming Spring weather!

Shimmy Shimmy Cocoa Puff: Shades of Mocha
The season for hot cocoa is over but that shade of brown certainly isn’t. Elle magazine’s website recently featured a photo of Miranda Kerr under their Hair & Beauty tab. Kerr donned a sultry look that centered around the gorgeous shade of mocha shadow. The color is perfect for a day at the office or shooting those “come hither” looks at the bar.
I start with my Faces Beautiful Smudge Brush http://www.facesbeautiful.com/product-p/smudge.htm to apply the pigment. I love the Mineral Makeup Signature Shadow Quad in Nouveau http://www.facesbeautiful.com/product-p/851036001007.htm. Its so nice to have four shades that compliment each other in one compact container which is why I love Faces Beautiful products so much. Starting with the darkest shade of brown, I coat my eye lids and follow behind with a stroke of the brilliant bronze shade. I especially love this quad because the highlighting shadow is a gorgeous taupe instead of the standard cream. To get that smolder look, I depend on Faces Beautiful Dark Chocolate Liner http://www.facesbeautiful.com/product-p/dark%20chocolate.htm. I like doing this step after I’ve applied my shadow to avoid smudging the color. I do a clean line on top but I like to smudge out the liner line on my lower lid.
It’s important to have the perfect bronze glow and Vincent Longo’s Beauty Skin Face and Body Bronzer has a beautiful assortment of brown shades http://www.facesbeautiful.com/product-p/658106103516.htm. Starting at the cheekbones and working your way up, apply the bronzer while having a smirk on your face. Finish the look with your favorite gloss and enjoy the night!
