A Sultry Scent To Try!

Hey Ladies! August’s issue of “Harper’s Bazaar” featured an article called “Beautify Diaries” about products successful women of all ages swear by. On page 126, Rita Wilson, Hollywood actress, producer, and singer; age 55, details her must haves. These key beauty items include our own Gail Sagel’s signature scent, Tom Ford’s Black Orchid Eau de Parfum. This feminine yet dark scent is described as a mixture of sultry woods and rich fruit, which help to enhance skin’s natural scent. A new and yet timeless scent worth smelling for yourself!

"Ace Your Base" - Seeking the best foundation...

Hey Everyone! This month’s “Fitness Magazine” featured an article called “Ace Your Base” dedicated to choosing the perfect foundation for your skin type. Foundations can be tricky and it is important to choose something long wearing, convenient, and good for your skin.
For those looking to control shine, "Fitness Magazine" recommends Neutrogena Shine Control Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 20. While low in cost at $12.99, this liquid makeup can be heavy and difficult to apply for beginners. For those looking for a moisturizing foundation, they suggest Shiesido Makeup Radiant Lifting Foundation SPF 17 which can be pricey at $45.00 and also take time and patience to apply. And finally for ladies with sensitive skin, mineral based products including Physicians formula Talc-Free Mineral Airbrushing Pressed Powder ($14) are suggested. While  I agree that mineral makeup is the way to go for sensitive skin, sometimes powders can be too drying and look artificial.
While they recommended products from some great cosmetic brands, wouldn’t it be easier if everyone could find the best, affordable and convenient product? FACES Beautiful's "Brush-On" Liquid Mineral Makeup is hands down the best match for any of your skincare concerns mentioned above. And, best of all it is a three in one product with an attached brush for applying perfectly each time. It is easy to apply and perfect for anyone looking for convenience and high quality in a foundation. The formula is so unique that your skin will look natural and the texture will actually improve, making it ideal even for sensitive or troublesome skin. The formula comes in three colors designed to blend with most skin tones and is an unbeatable deal at $29.95.

Welcome Lauren and Welcome Fall...!

Hey everyone, my name is Lauren
and I’m the newest intern here at FACES Beautiful! I’m the go to girl for make up and hair advice around campus and can’t wait to share the hottest trends with all of you beauties! This fall I’m on a real health kick and decided to start it off by picking up this month’s edition of “Fitness Magazine”. Besides all of the yummy recipes and exercise tips, they had a great spread about fall fashion and upcoming trends. What caught my eye about the striking model on pages 60-65 is her gorgeous smokey eye that seamlessly transitions her from gym clothes to a formal daytime outfit. While a smokey eye, during the day, may seem like too much. Fall is the time to experiment with darker colors.
To create the perfect daytime smokey eye, I like to use the colors featured FACES Beautiful’s All About Eyes 3 palette. http://www.facesbeautiful.com/product-p/851036001024.htm It features a pearly highlight color and a neutral shade perfect for your lid. Use the darkest shade to create intensity and drama both on your upper lid and for under eyeliner. Save the lightest colors for a tamer daytime look.
Most of all, have fun!
